For decades, militant groups, including child soldiers, are fighting corruption of the government and international companies to gain control over Nigeria’s oil resources.
The government sent the military to quell the unrest. The result was that the violence escalated.
After years of senseless bloodletting, the government offered the militants amnesty if they would lay down their arms. Slowly the youth came out of the jungle, turned over their arms and were put into internment camps.
